Gate of the sun #3

In my design "Portico of the sky" I penetrate the volume of the block creating a walk-in space that invites the viewer to enter the spatial form of the sculpture. Vertical shapes play with horizontal, openings allow the viewer from inside the sculpture to look out to the landscape, the upright pillars focus the attention into the air, to the vastness of the sky. I understand my sculpture as a place of rest, as a contemplative space of internalization.
